Viktor Kalinnikov composed most of the elements of the All-Night Vigil, which can be assembled into a substantial cyclic work, paralleling those of Rachmaninoff, Gretchaninoff, and Chesnokov. Kalinnikov’s lovely miniature uses the same text as all other settings of “Bogoroditse Devo.”
