The eighth and final movement from Heaven and Earth: A Song of Creation, a unique collaborative work by six different composers active in different repertories of Eastern Orthodox Christian sacred music that brings to life the words of Psalm 103 (LXX) with a musical unity in diversity that reflects the psalmist’s images of the unity in diversity of the divinely created order. In this movement Richard Toensing brings back the 16-part double chorus scoring heard in Movement #6, employing glissandos and tonal clusters to achieve a climactic evocation of angelic singing that brings the Psalm-cantata to a radiant close. This "coda-like" piece can, nonetheless, stand on its own, either alone or in tandem with Movement #6, with or without the intervening doxology in Movement #7.
